This is a picture I took of my Aunt Sophie’s laundry in Jerusalem, Israel last year. The addition of the two Orthodox Jewish men talking across the alleyway was accidental, but their black attire gave such an amazing contrast to the colorful clothes on the line, I couldn’t resist the shot. (Much to my Aunt’s dismay).
This photo is so much like me!
I have a very colorful view of life and living. I don’t take things too seriously and I kind of dance in the wind through my life. But in the background of my mind I can feel little tugs from my Jewish roots, reminding me that I should take time to be a bit more serious and investigate my spirituality.
Whatever that would mean to me today…
